Welcome to The Best You Clinic, where we prioritize your wellness journey from the inside out. Founded by Jay Swanson, who was born in Oakland, California, and moved to Dallas, Texas as a toddler, our clinic is rooted in personal experiences. Jay's journey through various life events and traumas has cultivated a deep empathy and relatability, enabling him to connect with our clients on a meaningful level. As he continues his healing journey, he is dedicated to helping others find their path to wellness and fulfillment. And in that journey, he ran into Velvet one day, met up, and have been inseparable ever since. They are now business partners and he has brought her into the Life & Business Coaching Realm of the Best You Clinic as well as helped her walk in her God-given purpose, which he calls her "Super Power" as a Business Coach. Velvet is also the creative mind behind 2Fab2Fade, the Custom Apparel business they have owned & operated since 2023, and the creator of Serum of Life, the fresh-pressed juices sold through The Best You Clinic since 2025.

We are responsible for our own healing, yet realize it gets hard and feels overwhelming at times. So at The Best You Clinic we provide that soft place to land while we implement tools and techniques to allow us that growth and evolution. Stopping the generational cycles of life.

Our History - His History

It Is Better to Travel Well Than to Arrive

History my History, I would like to say, "my origin story", started with just love but it was also laced with toxicity.

I was the quiet kid because I didn't feel safe enough to speak , so I lived through my imagination. What imagination you say? Me, me dreaming of kids that had super powers. That were able to defend themselves, not only from the adults in their lives but the mean kids too and save the ones that were less fortunate. So as I began to come out of my trauma, my first heart lead me to help others not become broken while living with similar life experiences.

What's a 12 year olds life dilemmas? Glad you ask. Me, I was attempting to grow up, while being broken, while missing fundamental lessons on building self confidence and vital ingredients on how to set healthy boundaries. I, Jay Swanson, became the bullies platform, that propelled their popularity, while I am being crushed in silence. This mindset also carried over into my young adult life. As I struggled with the trauma, alone in my own mind, I just dressed it up, becoming the Master's best slave. I gave my chains to anyone that gave or showed me any type of attention.

The history of my trauma is what has birthed the love of saving others, birthing my secret place of worship to God which has fed my hunger for true freedom. Origin stories filled with trauma can produce the most magnificent heros, the most vicious villains or an ongoing cycle of victims. The Best You Clinic is birthed from a kid that grew up as a victim, turned into a villian and is striving EVERY day to be that hero in my own story. So that I may fulfill my purpose of helping lead others to be the hero theirs.
